This page explains what our solar savings, subsidy and EMI calculator does — and, just as importantly, what it does not do.

Every result is an estimate

Recommended system size, project cost, government support, generation, savings, payback and EMI figures shown anywhere on this site are indicative estimates, not a quotation, offer or guarantee. They are generated from the limited information you provide (mainly your monthly bill) combined with general assumptions — not a site survey.

Key assumptions used

• Only a 5 kW system (₹3,05,000) has a business-confirmed reference price; other capacities are estimated from the same per-kW rate.
• An assumed blended electricity tariff of ₹8/unit is used to translate your bill into a recommended system size — your actual DISCOM tariff structure may differ.
• An assumed average generation of 5 units per kW per day is used for this region — actual generation varies with weather, shading, orientation and panel condition.
• Estimated savings are deliberately shown below the theoretical generation value and below your current bill, because DISCOM fixed/minimum charges typically continue after installing solar — your bill will not necessarily reach zero.

Government support is not automatic

Combined central (PM Surya Ghar) and Chhattisgarh state support figures reflect the currently applicable scheme structure for eligible residential customers, but eligibility, approval and disbursal are decided by the relevant government authority/DISCOM — not by us — and are not guaranteed.

Financing and EMI

Where an EMI calculator is shown, it uses the standard reducing-balance amortization formula applied to a rate and tenure you choose to enter (for example, one quoted to you by a bank) — it is a calculator, not an offer. We do not publish or guarantee a specific interest rate, tenure, approval outcome, or that any EMI will equal your electricity savings.
